Established in 1898, the distillery's name means "little black hill". The distillery was rebuilted in 1969, where it doubled its capacity of production. Knockando is the keynote among several malts that are especially influential in the J&B blends. They always bottle it in dated versions, indicating even the dates of distillation and bottling on the labels.
