Established in 1881, Bruichladdich is located facing the sea, like all the Islay Island distilleries. It is located on the Port Charlotte road, who gave its name to a distillery, Lochindall, closed in the 1930's. Bruichladdich doubled its production capacity in 1975 before being put to sleep in 1995.
