Banff, which history is a serie of constructions and destructions, was located less than a mile from the town of the same name, along the north speyside coast. Closed in 1863, it was rebuilt on another location in Inverboyndie. Destroyed by a fire in 1877, it was bombarded in 1941. In 1953, an explosion did extensive dammages. The last existing construction was also destroyed by fire in 1991. |
