Created in 1826, Aberlour was destroyed by a fire in the mid 1800's and rebuilt in 1879. In 1892, a second fire made severe dammages, and it was rebuilt in 1898. It was expanded in 1945 and modernized in 1973 when it was sold to Pernod-Ricard. The actual alambics, with a very wide base, date from the 1898 rebuilt.
