Lovers of Dewar's may recognize this as its signature malt. This is not surprising since this distillery created in 1896 was built by "Whisky Tom", the son of Thomas Dewar, first scottish wholesaler to bottle its own blends. Aberfeldy was expanded in the 1960's and 1970's.
