Our Company

It was in 1965 that Hubert Corman began his business by distributing milk products in the Herve region. Always ready to diversify his range of products, the business grew in such a way that at present the company specialises in the distribution of brewing products. The business as it exists today is the result of more than 30 years effort and continuous work.

Tonneau

At the age of 30, Hubert Corman married Marie-Jeanne Collins and both also complemented each other in their work. Through their synergy and their ambition the business progressed and grew at a rapid pace.

Constantly putting customer service above everything, the business is gradually expanding and requiring more and more staff. In this way the company is growing in size and, as its requirements grow, is extending its buildings and depots to meet the needs of its activities.

Notre magasin

In 1995, the current site of the "Caves de Xhéneumont" was developed. Everything was grouped together there: offices, warehouses, wine cellar and shop. This new location, close to the motorway, gives all the access and parking facilities necessary to welcome customers easily and in a dignified fashion. It was also at this time that Sylvianne and Hubert Corman Junior, daughter and son, joined the business and gave a very family character to the management of this company.

The company now employs about fifteen persons and distributes beers (traditional, Trappist and mass produced), wines, aperitifs, whisky and spirits of all kinds as well as regional and craft specialties (chocolates, thick syrups for spreading, etc). Distribution ranges from specialist shops through cafes and restaurants to supermarkets.

Speaking of craft productions, the Corman-Collins company has over the years brewed special beers which enable them to rival the largest brewers. It was moreover thanks to their brewing experience over many years that the company discovered and sold "la Blanche de Hoegaarden", which was later purchased by the company "Interbrew".

In its shop, with an area of nearly 800 m² spread over two levels, 400 kinds of beer, 200 brands of wine, more than 350 whiskies and spirits of all kinds can be found. Customers are welcomed in a family atmosphere and are given advice according to their requirements. Three years after the opening of their shop, that is to say in 1998, the wine cellar was fully renovated, with the construction of a store where the great wines can be found.

Une partie de notre vaste choix
Bar à Whisky

Less than one year later, a whisky bar (the only one in the province of Liège) was opened and, continuing this initiative, tastings and trips are organised with visits to distilleries and wine cellars (in Scotland for example). At the present time, more than 140 kinds of traditional beers are offered by the company. 1999 saw the creation of BAP (Apple Beer) and the Merveilleuse de Chèvremont (brewed at Val Dieu).

All the products available can be combined in gift packages containing beers, special beers, wines, spirits and lemonades according to any requirements.
